Continuing Education Courses For Physical Therapists/PTAs

Pilates for Rehabilitation
Saturday May 21 - Sunday May 22  OR
Saturday October 1- Sunday October 2

Learn more than just Pilates exercises- understand the concepts and how to teach them to your patients effectively.  Pilates fits into rehabilitation seamlessly, with principles such as core stability, spinal mobility, breath and muscle control.  Day 1 will focus on Pilates history, concepts and mat based exercises that can be incorporated into most PT settings.  Do you have a reformer in your clinic or are interested in getting one?  Day 2 will teach how to use a reformer and exercises on the reformer focusing on proper form, cueing and safety.  Approved for 14 CEUs for PTs in IL (both in person and virtual 2 day course count for live CEUs).  This course has been developed and will be taught by Dr. Rachel Miller, Physical Therapist and certified Pilates instructor.  No previous Pilates experience is required for this course.

What PTs are saying about this course...

"Fantastic course!  As a pelvic floor PT, I loved some of the new exercises for exercises... Love how applicable this course was.  Makes me want to get a reformer!  Also love the cueing for core activation.  Thank you!"

"I have much greater awareness of how to focus on core stability.  Great cueing for pelvic tilts!  I found the statistics on how many patients learned how to do kegels properly and even marching with transverse abdominis activation very enlightening."

"Thank you for providing modifications and other ideas for Pilates exercises for patients/others to do at home without equipment."

"Engaging course with wonderful presentation of exercises that can be used in the clinic with current patients.  I really enjoyed the content.  Thank you for this course."
