Doulas- Birth doulas are trained to help during birth. Postpartum Doulas are trained to offer physical and emotional support to a new family after the birth of their baby. They make the transition to parenthood easier and help mothers during their recovery period. The doula doesn’t take over complete care of the newborn, but educates and supports the family so they will feel confident to care for the newborn themselves. Day to day tasks may include feeding support, household maintenance, family nurturing and baby care instruction.
